Call for Entries on the Second Edition of the First Short Film Festival in Georgia –Late Deadline is on the 20th of June

The Second Edition of the Kutaisi International Short Film Festival launched an open call for short films around the world. Late Deadline: June 20th.

The second edition of KISFF – Kutaisi International Short Film Festival will be held on September 23-30 of 2022. As a historic city of moving pictures, last year Kutaisi regained its cinematic position in the industry offering a wide variety of programs including retrospectives of Georgian and international classics plus contemporary International Short Film Competition.KISFF decentralizes the Georgian film industry locked in the capital city. The festival has immediately become the leading destination for the Georgian cinephiles and filmmakers and is getting bigger. There are also masterclasses and script development workshops from the leading professionals in the film industry. 

 

Films of any genre (except animation) will be accepted in two categories:

 

🎞 Short Feature Films. (10-35 Minutes)

🎞 Short documentaries. (10-35 minutes)

Requirements:

▪️ The film must be completed after January 1, 2020.

▪️ Must have English subtitles.

▪️ If selected, only DCP files are accepted for the screening.

▪️ Movies are received through the Filmfreeway platform (see below).

 

The selection will end on August 1, 2022, and participants will be individually notified about the selection results. 

In support of Ukrainian filmmakers, we will accept their films via a free waiver code: slavaukraini

Selected films will be announced on 1 august and submitters will be notified...  The late deadline for submission is June 20th. Please check all the fees for submitting your film, according to each deadline before making the application.
