Born in 1966, Eric Tessier was attracted very early towards filmmaking. At the age of 13, he shot and directed his first short film in Super-8, which required three years of perseverance. After a stint in Concordia University's film program, he explored video and advertising and, in 1998, directed Viens dehors!, an award-winning short film at the Fantasia Film Festival. In 2003, he signed Sur le seuil, his first feature film and the most popular thriller in Quebec history. In 2009, he directed the feature film 5150 rue des Ormes. Very active in television as well, Tessier found time to develop and direct the popular Les Pee Wee 3D in 2012. In 2016, he directed the television series Pour Sarah and segments of feature film 9. In 2017, he directed the feature film Junior Majeur, the sequel to Les Pee-Wee 3D, and directs the series Fugueuse, broadcasted by TVA in 2018. His latest work You Will remember me had a World Premiere at 26th edition of Sarajevo Film Festival.

Before our interview with the director, a short synopsys and information to give a bit of context about the film: Edouard, a public figure and retired History teacher, is slowly starting to lose his memory. Accustomed to speaking on all the stands, he must make himself more discreet, even if he believes he still has a lot to say. Also, since no one can watch over him, he is placed in the care of Bérénice, a young girl who is a little rebellious and lost. Their meeting will lead Edouard to revisit a chapter from his personal history that he had chosen to forget, and Bérénice to find meaning in her life.
